The Jurien Bay Blessing of the Fleet is a cherished annual tradition, held during the Turquoise Coast Festival in November. The next Blessing of the Fleet will be held on the 7th November, 2026.
The Blessing features a colourful procession of professional fishing vessels and community boats parading past the Jurien jetty to seek a safe and prosperous season. The flotilla sets sail at 10.30 am from the Jurien Marina, and is blessed by a priest as they sail past.
The parade includes a competition for the best-dressed vessel (both pro and amateur boats).
The Blessing of the Fleet brings the local community together to honour the town’s fishing heritage and to ensure boater safety.
Gather at the Jurien Bay Marina at 9.30 am. Professional fishing boats will lead the procession, and amateur boats will line up behind the Marine Rescue boat. Boats will leave the Marina at 10.30 am and pass the Jurien Jetty.
